Jamming

Every day at the Festival a new set of adventures confronts you. Among my favorite is walking from hut to hut watching the progress of the craftspeople, tattooists and listening to the impromptu jam sessions. Performances at the planned venues are tremendous, but some of the best fun is had at the pick-up jams where everyone gets a turn to show off their stuff.

Delegates from the Cook Islands, the Maori Tattooists,
and Guam musicians all get into the action.

The Aboriginal hut was always good for an afternoon of didgeridoo, clapping and chanting.
